We don’t just do military over here at JET EYES! Our first metal airliner tags are a throwback to our first ever production airliner window tags. In early 2021 we dropped window tags from 747-400s N198UA and D-ABTH. As a former 747 First Officer I have a close connection with this aircraft and am chuffed that the first JET EYES metal airliner tag is cut from the Queen of the Skies. 
 
These tags were cut from fuselage skin around passenger windows and the shape of these tags is inspired by the shape of those passenger windows. This shape will become the standard for JET EYES passenger airliner tags moving forward.
 
N198UA was a 747-400 that left the factory in 1997 and flew its last flight in 2009. Numerous components from N198UA were used to make the Stratolaunch Roc - the World’s largest aircraft. Today, N198UA rests at the Mojave Air and Space Port in California. 
 
The N198UA tags are offered in 4 variants: Dark Blue, Sky Blue, Light Blue, and Bi-Color Blue. There will be 5 full sets offered as well. Due to the limited size of this run the Light Blue and Sky Blue tags are only offered as part of the full set. The majority of tags have some rivets or additional structure. The paint on the Dark Blue tags is flaky in areas and some tags have portions of the paint missing. 
 
Only 100 N198UA tags will be made for this run. They come with a boneyard inspired card by BVR and top down laser art that is a throwback to our window tags.
